Not quite sure how you will spend your Memorial Day weekend in Denver this year? If you do not have plans, there are plenty of great activities taking place in downtown Denver on Saturday, May 28th.

The Colorado Tribute to Veterans will sponsor a Wreath Remembrance Ceremony to honor those that lost their lives defending this country’s freedom, as well as a Memorial Day Tribute Ceremony to honor current fallen heroes of Colorado. The ceremonies will begin at 9AM and 11:30AM, respectively, at the Colorado Veterans Monument across the street for the Denver Capital building.

In between those ceremonies, the Denver United Veterans Council and City and County of Denver will sponsor a Memorial Day Parade at 10AM near Civic Center Park. Around 100 groups are set to march in a salute to all veterans of this country, especially those who have lost their lives.

Denver is a very patriotic city, and it really puts current events into perspective during the ceremonies and parade. Please visit the Denver government website for more information about the events, including maps for the parade.
